First  premiered at the 2010 Edinburgh International Film Festival, it  re-imagines the concept of Atmospheric movie theaters from the 1920s and  30s.<\/p>\n<p>Each expanded screening uses new and unexpected forms of video and  audio projection technology, multi-sensory interactives and live  elements.<\/p>\n<p>fields and colleagues presented three pieces to accompany the following films: Moon, Mon Oncle and A Matter of Life and Death.<\/p>\n<div id=\"main_body_2\">\n<div id=\"body_copy\">\n<div id=\"node-480\">\n<div>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mediascot.org\/atmosphere005\" target=\"_blank\">Code-Time \/ Moon<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Friday 25th June 2010<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Code-Time&#8217;, is a ten minute digital video by  Chris Speed made up of 3000 QR codes. Each person sitting in the audience could \u00a0&#8216;flip&#8217; their movie segment to one of three different film sequences by  scanning one of three QR codes that were located next to their seat with  their smartphone.<\/p>\n<p>The experience began with one cohesive image, but as members of  the audience &#8216;flipped&#8217; their own parts, it became broken up as 40  people tried to watch three movies all at once.<\/p>\n<p><object style=\"width: 600px; height: 450px;\" classid=\"clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" codebase=\"http:\/\/download.macromedia.com\/pub\/shockwave\/cabs\/flash\/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0\"><param name=\"src\" value=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/vabpxghLpCA\" \/><embed style=\"width: 600px; height: 450px;\" type=\"application\/x-shockwave-flash\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/vabpxghLpCA\"><\/embed><\/object><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" title=\"Zapper\" src=\"http:\/.eca.ac.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/zap2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"200\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Paper Zappers: cards with printed QR codes functioned as the buttons for changing the cinema channel.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mediascot.org\/atmosphere006\" target=\"_blank\">Snapshot \/ A Matter of Life and Death<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-weight: normal;\">Saturday 26th June 2010<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Snapshot by Gianni Corino, Jochen Ehnes, Chris Speed was a ten minute,  live cinematic experiment in which the public experienced the  creation of a memory map made of props extracted from the movie &#8220;A matter  of Life and Death&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The project used a steerable projector installed in Inspace to  visually extract symbolic and iconic props that could be found within the   movie, and place them in a different space: a cognitive landscape.<\/p>\n<p>For this event the artists used a symbolically rich part of the  movie: the beach scene.
