To be honest I remain a cultural / digital geographer in amongst a smart but very focussed community of scientists who tend toward the particular the use of computers to further model the world. Some great stuff, but limited interest in the fuzzy / social / relational dynamics that human geography brings to the table. Gave them the Pile rant about ghosts and architecture but I think it went right over their heads. As for seeing value in Comob and Walking Through Time, they are more interested in counting flowers and birds, and predicting the future.
Systems tend not to embrace social computing models and the concept of network is limited to literal technical applications.
I kinda enjoy it, but at the same time landscape for them and myself remain something different. Not sure I can do it all again next year.
